ABOUT ME

I love to travel. My love for travel has taken me all over the world and I thought I would share some of my experiences with anyone who is interested. I travel pretty light, a Jansport® Borneo™ Backpack, no matter how long the journey and my camera kit.

My travel philosophy....."I've got my passport, when do we leave!"

Gorilla Trek - Rwanda and yes - you do get that close!

FAVORITE PLACES

The place is the hardest. Narrowing down all my travels to one destination is tough so I am going to give you my top 5 instead.

1. Being a Panda Keeper in China.

2. Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda.

3. Exploring Pyramids in Egypt.

4. First Safari in Africa.

5. Going into Pit with Terra Cotta Warriors in China.

WHY TRAVEL?

My Parents, the people and experiences. My parents encouraged me to be curious and open-minded, the curiosity has lead to my travels around the world. I have to say all the people, workers and guides I have met along they way have influenced me as well - from Dickson my first guide in Kenya who supported his whole tribe, Saron my guide in Cambodia who fled to Thailand when the Khmer Rouge came to power, Frank who told me of the horrors of the killing fields in Cambodia and Gad who shared experiences of the genocide in Rwanda. I carry a piece of them with me each day. Each has added so much to my life.

Enjoy!!!
